Het project van E.O. Wilson bestaat al een paar jaar. Recent is de multimediale publicatie Life on Earth aangevuld en nu uitgebracht in 7 delen. De omvang van het e-boek zou anders veel te groot zijn geworden in één volume. Er is nu ook een cursus aan toegevoegd.

Er is ook al jaren de Encyclopedia of Life, dat moet uitgroeien tot een ware encyclopedie van fauna, flora en het leven op aarde.

Mijn eigen bijdrage (die daarmee ook het leven in Amsterdam Zuidoost 'op de wereldkaart' zet) bestaat al uit 17 filmpjes van fauna en flora. Hier bijvoorbeeld de houtpantserjuffer (beelden overwegend uit mijn eigen tuin).
